Get ready to spread some festive cheer! North Petherton Town Council is inviting residents to brighten up their homes and neighbourhoods by taking part in this year’s Christmas Decorating Competitions.

Whether you love covering your house in sparkling lights, creating magical Christmas displays or working with your neighbours to transform your street into a winter wonderland, there’s a competition for you!

There are two exciting categories: Best Decorated Individual House and Best Decorated Collective of Houses.

Individual winners from North Petherton, Wilstock, Stockmoor, North Newton, Moorland and Fordgate will each receive a trophy to keep for a year. The overall individual winner will receive a fantastic festive hamper, while the winning collective will enjoy a delicious chocolate hamper to share!

Taking part is easy! Simply complete the entry form on the Christmas page (below) of the Town Council’s website, telephone 01278 574074, or email enquiries@northpethertontowncouncil.gov.uk.

All participating properties must be within the North Petherton Town Council area.

Entries close at 12 noon on Monday 14 December 2026.

So untangle those fairy lights, dust off your decorations and let your Christmas creativity shine. Let’s make our community sparkle this festive season!
