Poll Cards

We are aware that despite poll cards being posted 1st class on 17 July many people have not received them.

YOU DO NOT NEED A POLL CARD TO VOTE .

If you do not have a poll card, and you are on the Electoral Register, please go along to the polling station with your ID and you will be able to vote.

The election process is managed by Somerset Council; please contact the Elections Team ( electionsc@somerset.gov.uk) at Somerset Council if you have any questions about the arrangements, process or voting.

Broadly speaking, if you live in Stockmoor or Wilstock your polling station is Somerset Bridge Primary School, if you live elsewhere in North Petherton it will be North Petherton Community Centre. You can check which addresses vote at which polling station by clicking on the street names lists below

The polling stations will be at…

• Community Centre, Fore Street, North Petherton and will be open between 07:00 and 22:00.
• Somerset Bridge Primary School, Stockmoor, Stockmoor Drive, North Petherton and will be open between 07:00 and 22:00.

To vote in this election a person must be on the electoral register for North Petherton ward. Details of how to check if you are on the electoral register or to apply to go on the register can be found at

The deadline for receiving applications for registration to enable you to vote in this election was Tuesday 14 July 2026.

In order to vote at the polling station you will need photo ID – details of acceptable photo ID can be found on the government website

Postal Votes

We are aware that despite postal voting documents being sent 1st class on 17 July many people have not received them. You can get replacement postal voting documents as follows:

29 July 2026 until 5pm from Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater

30 July 2026 until 5pm from North Petherton Community Centre

When you have your replacement papers you have until 10pm to complete and return them to one of the polling stations
