Festive Competition

Competition description

• Decorate the outside of your home to ‘Light up your Community’.

Prize(s)

• A prize will be awarded for the best decorated in each of the following areas: North Petherton, Wilstock, Stockmoor, North Newton, Fordgate/Moorland
• Trophies for winners of each area and a hamper for the overall winner

How to enter

• Please select one of the following options to make your entry…
• Complete the electronic entry form (bottom of this page).
• Compose an email to enquiries@northpethertontowncouncil.gov.uk with the subject Festive Lights Competition. In the body of the email please provide your name and street address.
• Tell your local Town Councillor

Deadline

• The deadline to enter this competition is midday 5th December December 2025.
• Judging will take place between 11th and 17th December 2025 and lights must be on between 4.00pm and 10pm.

Competition description

• Festive lights collective competition. There will also be a small prize for the best “Collective” the collective can be any group – defined by the entrants, so it may be a street, or a row of houses in a street or even a number of houses in different parts of a village

Competition description

• Produce an outdoor seasonally decorated container – the display to be made from foraged / recycled items and to be visible from the entrance to the property.

• The seasonal container will be judged 11 – 17 December (same as lights) and must be on display between 4pm and 10pm

Competition description

• Design a seasonal banner that can be used on the Town Council’s website or a picture that can be used to send seasons greetings on the Town Council’s Facebook page
• The competition will be judged in 3 age groups.
• 4 years – 7 years
• 8 years -11 years
• 12 years – 16 years

Prize(s)

• Book tokens for the winner of each age group.

• Entries must give details of the child’s / young person’s name, age and the name and contact details of their responsible adult.
